Overview
Manchester Airport embarked on a £35 million project in 2017 to construct a new five-storey car park.
This was with the intention to serve those dropping off and picking up departing or arriving passengers from Terminal 1 & 3 with 6500 parking spaces.
What did we do?
For this job we installed drainage which included putting in three diversions and a large Tubosider system for surface water attenuation, form the access route onto site to ensure deliveries would be easily accessible, as well as a route to the terminal for passengers.
We also did the foundations of the car park, the formation of stone ready for the car park to be tarmacked and the exaction of a new fire hydrant main around the site which led up to the terminal building, coming in at a length of 2.5km.
