Overview

Halle Square, located in the Arndale Centre in Manchester City Centre, under went a full refurbishment in 2018 and was even renamed to Halle Place as part of the revamp.

The food quarter cost a total of £11 million and is home to the likes of outlets including Barburrito, Archie’s, Wolf and Doner Shack.

In order to cause as little disruption as possible to the public and the shopping centre, we did most of our work at night.

What did we do?

Whilst we did most of the work on this job at night to avoid vibration and noise pollution, we did complete the blockwork to various areas, slab infills and foundations to column bases and lift shaft bases on day shifts.

But during the night shifts we concentrated on putting in concrete plinths for roof containment, constructed service openings, completed slabs and installed drainage to the basement level.
