Overview
As part of a stunning development in the centre of Manchester, a 36-storey tower was commissioned to provide 466 stylish apartments set in unique landscaped gardens.
It will also provide 20,000 square ft of commercial space and ground-breaking residents amenities, suitable for the private rental sector.
What did we do?
For this project we installed over 2000m2 of hard landscaping works which included yorkstone paving, concrete block paving, self-binding gravel and artificial turf to provide a unique landscape garden for the residents.
We also put in bespoke granite kerbing, granite steps, blackened steel kerbing, planters and street furniture, as well as public realm interface works to tie the new buildings and hard landscaping areas into the existing public roads and pedestrian areas.
Due to the unique historical background of the site as it used to be the home of Shudehill Mill which was one of the earliest cotton mills in Manchester City Centre, we installed bespoke marker stones and inlayed graphics within the hard landscaping works to mark the external walls and layout of the old mill.
We also included nodes and viewing goggles to allow members of the public to view historical artefacts found the site.
