Overview
Murraywood Construction are working with BAM on Byrchall High School to create a new eco school. This project comes as the school received a portion of the Department for Education’s £1bn School Rebuilding Programme.
The new secondary school will welcome pupils aged between 11-16 years and will be one of the first of 50 new “eco and self-sustainable schools” to be built in the UK over the next three years.
What are we doing?
On this project, we have been awarded the groundworks package that involves first completing the substructures of the building including the foundation and retaining walls. We then will install drainage and the ground floor slab to the building.
To finalise this project, we will be working on the underground facilities for the school as well as hard & soft landscaping and road & car park construction.
