Whilst doing works on the Manchester Town Hall project alongside Lendlease, Murraywood Construction purchased a new JCB 19C-1E electric mini digger specifically for the job.
As combustible engines weren’t allowed to be used on the job due to the size and location of the project, and hand diggers would have been laborious, the decision was made to buy an electric excavator.
Despite it just being a 1.9 tonne excavator, one of our company directors, Billy Murray, told Awesome Earthmovers: ” I believe has the power of a three-tonne fossil fuelled machine. It is an awesome digger.”
