Due to the dangerously high levels of pollutants on the roads in Manchester, the Government are now taking action to tackle air pollution. The proposed Clean Air Zone across Manchester will be introduced in two phases from 2021 and 2023. The vehicles which contribute most to the pollution in the city will receive a daily penalty to enter and/or travel within the Clean Air Zone, this proposal includes buses, coaches, vans, taxis, lorries etc. However, in September Murraywood released a new 2019 fleet of vans including the Mercedes Vito and Citroen Berlingo. To counteract the daily penalties in the coming years, our new vehicles have the latest E6 engines and use AdBlue to reduce emissions. As part of this initiative to cut down air pollution, Murraywood are now monitoring fuel consumption.
