Overview

Ainsdale Train Station in Southport was given an injection of cash from the Government’s National Stations Improvement Programme in 2017 totalling £2.5 million.

The aim of the financial boost was to make sure all passengers received free Wi-Fi when travelling from the train station, give travellers more seating options, improve the information screens and add waiting shelters onto the platforms.

What did we do?

On this renovation project we completed the foundations, external works, ducting and drainage services with some works being carried out trackside.

This involved us installing drainage, foundations and a ground floor slab.

We also carried out a reduced level dig, a minor brickwork package and we reinstated to the perimeter of the building.
